UND's Jenna Barr scored her first goal of the match at 5:49, assisted by Meghan Murtie.
USD answered back, less than five minutes later at 12:02, when sophomore Katie Freeman (Urbandale, IA) took junior Carla Neppl's (Omaha, NE) corner kick and put the ball past the North Dakota goalie to tie the match at 1-1. It was Freeman's second goal of the season.
Then, Barr scored her eighth goal of the season, unassisted at the 33:38 mark for the game-winner.
Each team placed all their shots on goal, 13 for North Dakota and 11 for the Coyotes.
USD goalie Ann Opsahl (Yankton) took the loss in goal, allowing both goals and making three saves in 45 minutes of play. Sophomore Keyton Wheelock (Traverse City, MI) came in and played the final half making seven saves.
For UND, Ashley Rohwer allowed one goal and made 10 saves.
Beth Schuster (Omaha, NE) and Ashley Ervin (Western Springs, IL) led USD with four and three shots, respectively.
