USD School of Law alumnus to speak

Yates will speak on his unique experiences after leaving South Dakota.�

Yates is a 1972 graduate of The University of South Dakota School of Law. He is a prominent Los Angeles-area attorney handling mostly products liability and civil rights cases, including the Los Angeles Police Department "Rampart Division Corruption Scandal," in which he represented 60 clients. In 1997, Yates received the Lawyer of the Year award from California Lawyer Magazine.�
