VHS varsity boys’ golf team wins Big 8 Conference tourney

The 18-hole contest involved both varsity and junior varsity teams from each school, Lennox, Madison, Vermillion, and West Central.

Final team standings were: 1.Vermillion 314; 2. Madison 342, 3. Lennox 360; and 4. West Central 374.

Medalist honors went to Jordan Boots of Vermillion who scored a 3 over par 75. Other Tanager placers were: Broc Gauer � second (77); Alex Schaack was in fourth (80); at sixth was Aaron Steele (82); and Mikal Ustad placed eighth (83).

The JV division was won by Lennox (375); Madison was second (377); the Tanager JV team was third (395); with West Central fourth (448). Medalist was Oriole's Derek Pinkend (85).

Individual Tanager scores were: Eric Ustad � 90; Danny Davies � 91; Cole Andre � 94; Dominik Jones � 120; and Patrick Haught � 135 to complete the Vermillion contingent.
