Cross country teams place second, fourth at regional
Twelve schools with over 200 runners were represented at the Region 3A Cross Country Meet in Lennox, Friday, Oct. 14.

The competition was in both boys' and girls' varsity and JV divisions.

Boys' varsity finishes � Lennox 42, SF Christian 44, Canton 50, and Vermillion 76 were the top four teams.

There were 56 contestants in the 5K run. Varsity Tanager placers were: Andrew Manning � eighth; Ryan Powell 16th; J.R. Moore 19th and Casey Carlson 31st to account for the team's score. C.J. Harden and D.J. Donahoe were at 42nd and 50th among the finishers.

In the JV division, Tanager placers were: Brody Stone seventh; Jeff Donnelly 12th; Raleigh Tiahrt 16th; and Isaac Druin 21st. Tony Hubert, Kevin Callahan, Michael Dendinger, and Skylar Tiahrt were participants in the 4K race involving 40 runners.

The top four girls' team finishers were:

Beresford 19, Vermillion 43, Lennox 59, and Elk Point/Jefferson 78.

Forty-seven runners were entered and Tanager placers were: Katarina Gombosz � third, Emily Renner � 10th; Sarah Day 17th; and Hannah Nehlich-Arobba 19th, and Sophie Nehlich-Arobba 22nd.

With only 27 competitors in this division, JV Tanager results were:

Jana Bye second; Steffani Donahoe fifth; Chelsea Gauer seventh; Julie Renner 12th and Rosie Ahmed 18th.
