The other top five teams were: Milbank, Lead-Deadwood, Aberdeen Roncalli, and Belle Fourche.
Vermillion's Alex Schaack was in fifth place and Broc Gauer seventh. Wyatt Anderson Meier (Belle Fourche) won the meet and Nate Barbee (Dakota Valley) was second.
Fifteen schools vied for the trophy and there were more than 100 golfers in the tournament. The top 20 scorers earned place medals, and Vermillion was presented a second place plaque. Other Tanagers in the meet were: Jordan Boots was 30th at 167; Aaron Steele was 41st (173) and Mikal Ustad was 48th (178).
