The Geuthers, the Petersons, the Sokolowskis, Brittany Rederick, Amy Luxem, and Patrick Morrison all displayed their livestock exhibits at the zoo.
It was truly made an inter-country event when Adrianne Logue, a member of the Gayville Achievers, brought in her horse.
Watermelon was provided courtesy of Gary Bye to illustrate the horticulture project area, as well as provide a sweet snack.
All agree that the petting zoo was a big success. Karen Hansen, the first grade teacher from Wakonda, was very happy with the experience.
"The kids and teachers alike loved it. That watermelon really cooled us off on that hot day."
