"Even in defeat, the Tanagers held their heads high," said coach Billberg. "We played tough defense and competed with the Watchdogs whenever our passing game was clicking. Also, Michelle Olson continues to play great volleyball, scoring her third double-double."

In the preliminary matches the freshmen won 29-27, 25-19 as Justine Sorensen had 9 ace serves and 3 kills, while Sarah Kjose had 4 assists and Dana Hannahs registered 7 digs.
"Justine led us in this match, with her consistent and powerful serves," said coach Leah Bakke. "The girls played tough defense, showing a lot of hustle. We showed our ability to fight for every point, and never give up."
The JV lost in three games 13-25, 28-26, 4-15. Stacey Joy had 5 service points with 1 ace; DeNell Dykstra, Rachel Odens, and Brittany Bye � 2 aces, each, Bye also recorded 7 kills and a block; Raychel Lorenz dished out 14 set assists; and Kristina Blythe had 12 digs.
The varsity team season record is 10-10 through the Beresford match.
