"After a slow start, the Tanagers rallied to a victory," said coach Lenni Billberg. "Defensively, we adjusted well to a slow game pace. Ariel Hofman dug some very tough balls, while Nicole Orr rescued her teammates with diving saves and positive emotions. Michelle Olson and Brittney Babb led offensively with 15 and nine kills. Brittany Bye also stepped up to revitalize our offense with seven kills in 15 attempts."
Other significant individual Tanager stats were: Kinsey Weydert � 11 D, 32 SA, 16 SP, 4 aces; Alicia Brown � 6 P, 26 A, 9 K, 2 B, 8 D, 11 SP; Krista Froke � 11 A, 3 K, 5 B, 8 SP; Paige Prosser � 10 P, 5 A, 8 D, 5 SP; Brittni Stewart � 13 A, 3 K, 2 D, 3 SP; Team season record, 10-9.
The JV won 2-1 with scores 25-20, 20-25, and 15-11.
"It was a great win for the JV," said coach Lori Jerred. "They worked well together and stayed positive after losing the second game. Brittany Bye played fantastic."
