USD’s Beardsley named NCC setter of the week

Casey Beardsley, a member of the South Dakota volleyball team, has been named the North Central Conference Setter of the Week, according to an announcement released from the league office.

Last week, the Coyotes posted wins of 3-0 over Upper Iowa (Oct. 14) in non-conference action and 3-1 over league foe Minnesota State (Oct. 15).

Beardsley, a junior from Sterling, CO, averaged 11.67 assists per game, including 50 assists against MSU. She also just missed a triple-double in that match as she had 18 digs and eight kills.

Beardsley averaged 4.00 digs and 1.50 kills per game on the week. She also hit .450 (9k-0e-20ta).
