"The girls worked hard but couldn't get over the hump in the second game," said coach Lea Bakke.
The junior varsity won 2-1, by 25-15, 23-25, 15-11. Individual players for the match: Leading attacks � Stacy Bottolfson 4 kills; DeNell Dykstra and Brittany Bye � 3 Ks each; Bye also had 7 aces; Raychel Lorenz � 11 set assists; Kristina Blythe � 11 digs; Stacey Joy � 8 digs.
The girls played very well after a slow start. Blythe is doing a great job for us in the libero position," said coach Lori Jerred.
Head coach Lenni Billberg was happy with the varsity's performance.
"This was a dominant team effort. This crew is really coming together," she said. "Michelle Olson led the way with a double-double, 15 digs and 12 kills. Her defense sparked us at much needed times. Brittney Babb continues to hit well, and Kinsey Weydert's play improves match to match."
