Wakonda-Irene results from Lennox

On Sept. 30, the Eagle Cross Country Team competed in the Lennox Invitational. It was another fantastic day for Rob Gregoire who placed first with a personal best time at 16:42.

This is Rob's sixth individual championship for the year. Another personal best was made by Katie Sokolowski who placed ninth in the girls' varsity division at 16:29.

Running in 19:13 was Matt Davis snatching 13th place, giving him a good strong place. Joey Wuestewald ran his first varsity boys' 5K and got 32nd place with a time of 20:32, followed by Chris Nelsen, who ran this course for the first time placing 42nd at 21:30.

The Eagles' varsity boys' team ran for the first time as an A team at this meet, placing sixth. Coach Tony Skonhovd said, "This was a very competitive meet and the competition was very good, a great solid effort!"
