Powers named to district, NCC teams

Kinsley Powers, a junior on the South Dakota women's volleyball team, has been named to both the Academic All-North Central Conference team, as well as to the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District VII third-team, according to an- nouncements released by both the NCC office and CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America).

Powers, a Rapid City native who holds a 4.0 grade point average in political science, garnered Academic All-NCC honors for the second straight season and is the only player on the league honorees with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

This season, Powers is second on the team with 288 kills (3.00/gm) and has hit .167 (288k-134e-924ta). She has also recorded 171 digs and notched 36 blocks (11 BS, 25 BA).
