Transportation study will be topic of city/county meeting

During the months of August and September, the Vermillion City Council reviewed Planning Commission recommendations that were part of the recently completed Vermillion Transportation Study.

The last two sections of the transportation study require a joint meeting of the city council and the Clay County Commission.

The first joint meeting had been scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 1 but was cancelled due to a newspaper error in not publishing the legal notice for the meeting.

The city council and Clay County Commission have not established a new meeting date.

The Vermillion City Council and Clay County Commision will publish legal notices and conduct one or more joint meetings on the southeast area alternatives and street additions/extensions of the Vermillion Transportation Study once a meeting date is determined.
