The South Dakota Highway Patrol will be holding sobriety checkpoints during the weeks of Nov. 27 through Dec. 3 in Clay County. In addition to detecting alcohol or drug impaired drivers, troopers make use of the sobriety checkpoints to remind the motoring public of the dangers of drinking and driving.
