Despite a .207 hitting mark (42k-17e-121ta), the Coyotes we unable to pick up the win, as the Huskies posted a .263 hitting percentage with 61 kills and 25 errors in 137 attempts.
USD had 14 kills in each match and hit over .225 in two of the three matches.
SCSU registered four aces and 52 digs to no aces and 45 digs for USD. South Dakota doubled up the Huskies in blocks, eight to four.
Playing in her final match at USD, senior Kristen Miller (Papillion, NE) led all players with 18 kills and added 15 digs. Setter Ashley Gross (Norfolk, NE) was the only other Coyote to reach double figures in a category, as she had 35 assists.
For SCSU, Lindsey Gothe led the team with 17 kills, while Jamie Schlagel notched a double double of 12 kills and 14 digs. Setter Monica Ashburn tallied 52 assists, while Danielle Stump led the team with 18 digs.
USD wraps up its season sixth in the North Central Conference.
