USD, who made 12 of its 15 three pointers in the first half, finished 15-of-38 (39.5 percent) from downtown on the evening, two shy of the single game record (17 vs. Minnesota-Morris, 12/4/02).
For the game, the Coyotes, who out-rebounded Chadron State, 43-28, shot 55.9 percent (27-of-59) from the field and made 14-of-16 free throws (87.5 percent).
The USD defense forced 20 turnovers and held Chadron State to 19-of-55 shooting from the field (34.5 percent), including 0-of-11 from three-point range. The Eagles made 12 trips to the charity strip and knocked down six (50.0 percent).
Sophomore Ashley Bjorkman (Vermillion) led four players in double figures with 13, while freshman Bridget Yoerger (Hinton, IA) and junior Jenni Flynn (South Sioux City, NE) each scored 11. Yoerger led all players with nine rebounds in her first career start. Junior Erica Schroeder (Miller) added 10 for USD.
Krisha Sibrel led the Eagles with nine points and six rebounds.
USD will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 19, when they host York (NE) at 1 p.m.
