Miller, who was named NCC player of the week on Oct. 10, finished her senior season with USD's highest single-season kill total of 482. Her 4.97 kills per game led the league and was 16th nationally. This season, Miller recorded a career-high 29 kills against Northern State (Sept. 6).
"Kristen has been a great player for us," said USD head coach Brian Lamppa. "It is a great honor for her and we are sad to see her leave."
A native of Papillion, NE, Miller, who was the NCC Freshman of the Year in 2002 and All-NCC in 2004, leaves USD second in career attack attempts (4,018), fourth in career kills (1,324), fourth in kills per game (3.19), seventh in total blocks (243), seventh in digs (1,096) and 10th in aces (92).
Miller, the 10th All-NCC selection in school history, is just the third Coyote (Becky Olson, Lindsey Soukup) to record 1,000-career kills and 1,000- career digs. She has also recorded 46 career double-doubles.
