Colleges from Nebraska, Wyoming, Iowa and North Dakota were all trying to recruit high school students.
The day started off by arriving at USD at 10 a.m. and filling out a card that registers you for a $500 scholarship for a South Dakota school. The students then took an hour to see what their favorite institutions had to offer, besides free pencils.
At 11 a.m., a tour of the campus was given. The renovation of Old Main and the new Al Neuharth building were among the highlights of the walk.
Students agree it was nice to see who offered what and how much an average year costs at one of these post-secondary colleges. They all agreed they should have saved their money earlier.
