Auditions planned for Into the Woods

The Vermillion Community Theatre has announced audition dates for the winter musical, Into the Woods. Auditions will be Sunday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. at the Colton Recital Hall at the USD Fine Arts Building and Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. at Slagle Auditorium at USD.

Look for the VCT banner. Auditions are open to everyone. There are approximately 20 roles for men, women and a limited number of children. Actors will be asked to read from the script, sing both familiar and new material as well as dance.

A prepared audition piece is not necessary. If actors wish to use prepared material they should bring their own accompanist. A cast list will be posted on or before Monday, Dec. 12.

There will be limited musical rehearsals until Jan. 9 when rehearsals start in earnest for the Feb. 17-20 show dates.
