Employees raise funds for Vermillion Hospice

Sioux Valley Vermillion Medical Center employees, during National Hospice Month in November, raised $364 to benefit Vermillion Hospice. Employees held the Annual Thanksgiving Pot Luck Lunch on Wednesday, Nov. 16 raising $164.

In addition to that event, each Friday in November, employees were invited to purchase a Blue Jean Friday permission sticker in the amount of $2 in order to have the privilege of wearing blue jeans to work that day. The Blue Jean Fridays raised $230.

"Money raised for our Hospice is to assist us to provide care, medications, and equipment to our Vermillion Hospice clients. We do have a wish list of equipment that this money will go towards. We appreciate the Vermillion medical center employee donations and support to our Hospice program,"said Carol Lavin, Sioux Valley Home Health and Hospice manager in Vermillion.
