Iverson earns Eagle Scout award
Seth A. Iverson, Boy Scout Troop 17 of Hibbing, MN, has earned his Eagle Scout Award.

Iverson is the son of Bruce and Lee Iverson of Hibbing, (formerly of Vermillion) and grandson of Junior and Maxine Iverson, Vermillion. Iverson earned 30 merit badges and has held various positions of leadership to earn his award.

An Eagle Scout must have completed at least 21 merit badges and organize a service project. For his Eagle project Iverson constructed a ski shelter for the Hibbing Parks and Recreation Department.

As a Boy Scout, Iverson attended summer camp for five years. He earned his "Zero Hero" award by camping in sub-zero temperatures at Northern Tier High Adventure Base.

He is a member of the Order of the Arrow (Scouting's National Honor Society) and attended the 2005 National Jamboree held at Fort A.P. Hill in the state of Virginia. He attended Junior Leadership Training in 2004 and will be on staff for the National Youth Leadership Training in 2006. He has also been chosen to attend the World Jamboree in England in 2007.
