Restaurant fund drive goes to diabetes research

In an effort to raise funds for diabetes research and education, area Taco John's restaurants will donate a portion of all "Nachos Navidad" sales from Dec. 1-31 to the American Diabetes Association.

In addition, the restaurants will encourage customers to donate their change from any order to this charity. Change boxes will be on the counters of each restuarant.

Taco John's restaurants in South Dakota and locations in northwest Iowa, Wyoming, Colorado and Nebraska will participate in this effort with proceeds going towards diabetes education and research.

Last year, nearly 100 Taco John's restaurants raised over $21,000 bringing the four year total to $85,000.
