Scholastic book fair planned at city library

A Scholastic Book Fair comes to the Vermillion Public Library Dec. 8-11 with a great selection of books and educational materials for readers of all ages from more than 150 publishers. The sale features traditional children's favorites and new works by popular authors and illustrators.

The Vermillion Public Library will host a Scholastic Book Fair on Thursday, Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Friday, Dec. 9 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, Dec.10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 11 from 1 to 5 p.m.

The Scholastic Book Fair is sponsored by the Friends of the Vermillion Public Library to earn books for the library and support programs like the ESA Giving Tree, the Summer Reading Program, and equipment purchases.

The Scholastic Book Fair is held each December to celebrate National Library Week at the Vermillion Public Library and make quality reading material available for holiday gift giving and winter vacation reading.
