The tree went on display Nov. 29 and will be in place until Dec. 6.
This is an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to support those in our community and to give children a brighter Christmas. Vermillion Social Services has provided the CSAC with 24 children who need support. There will be special tags hanging on the tree with the age and sex of the child along with a few "wish list" items. Some of the items wished for include clothes, action figures, Barbies, and DVDs.
Students from USD, faculty and staff are encouraged to take one of the tags and purchase an item for the child and then return it, unwrapped, to the Coyote Student Center information desk by Dec. 6.
The Career Service Advisory Council's goal is to fulfill the wishes of all 24 children on the tree.
