USD’s SAAC to sponsor teddy bear toss Dec. 5, 11

The University of South Dakota's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), in conjunction with Avera, will host a Teddy Bear Toss during halftime of two upcoming men's basketball games in December at the DakotaDome.

USD's SAAC invites people to help make a child happy this holiday season by donating a teddy bear at the Teddy Bear Toss, which will be held when USD hosts Morningside on Monday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m., and again on Sunday, Dec. 11, when the Coyotes play William Penn at 3 p.m. at the Dome.

Fans are encouraged to bring a teddy bear in order to participate in the halftime toss. Teddy bears will be tossed onto the court during halftime and those landing on Dominos boxes will be entered into a drawing to win Dominos' pizza certificates. The drawing will be held during the second half of the USD men's game. The teddy bears will be donated to children in Avera hospitals for the holiday season.
