VHS gymnasts place second at Wagner invite

In the invitational meet held in Wagner last Saturday, Dec. 10, the Tanager gymnastics team finished second, scoring 116.25 points against a seven-team field. Madison won the tourney with 135.8

Ariel Hofman � bars, 8.2, third; beam, 8.3, third; vault, 8.55, sixth; AA, 25.05.

Raychel Lorenz � bars, 7.25; beam, 2.4; floor, 7.6, ninth; vault, 7.5; AA, 24.95.

Tristen Upward ��beam, 6.55; floor, 7.3; vault, 7.2.

Calle Sorensen, bars, 7.85, seventh; floor, 6.8; vault, 7.7.

Emily Renner � bars, 7.8, ninth.

Amy Mart � beam, 6.45.

DeNell Dykstra � beam, 3.8.

Heather Zimmerman � beam, 2.8; vault, 6.9.

Tia Krier � bars, 5.8; floor, 7.4.

Totals � bars, 31.1; beam, 25.1; floor, 29.1; vault, 30.95. "Saturday we had a very good meet in Wagner," said coach Mark Upward. "I was very pleased with our team performance, our strongest event � beam � wasn't as good as I thought it might be.

"Our first meet with Sioux Falls Lincoln has not been rescheduled yet, but our next meet is with West Central and Sioux Falls Roosevelt held in the ?Power & Grace' gymnastics facility on Dec. 16."
