"Human Trafficking in Cambodia" will be the subject of the next Farber Forum at The University of South Dakota on Monday, Jan. 23 at 4 p.m. in Old Main's Farber Hall.
Second-year law and public administration student Laura Shattuck will share her experience working with Legal Aid of Cambodia (LAC) last summer.
LAC is a Cambodian non-governmental organization that provides free legal representation to Cambodians who are unable to afford proper representation no small feat in a country considered to have a corrupt legal system and one without a public defender's office.Shattuck will provide more information about Cambodia's tragic history, along with its modern struggles.
