Laber's time of 2:10.86 is the second best in school history (Jennifer Munyan, 2:10.20, 1997) and placed her third at the meet. The mark by Laber is also a provisional qualifying time for nationals.
The South Dakota men's team also had several strong performances, including Sam Pribyl of Webster, who finished seventh in the pole vault with a jump of 16'00.75, which is a provisional mark to nationals.

The meet, held on Saturday at Nebraska's Bob Devaney Sports Center Indoor Track, included several Division I, Division II, NAIA and junior colleges.
Also for the women's team, junior Stephanie Gebhart of Elkton, won the 400-meter dash in 56.92. Aimee Nielsen of Mason City, IA, finished third in the mile run in 5:04.74 and was fourth in the 3,000-meter run in 10:24.39.
