Merrigan hired as head coach

The Sioux Empire Baseball Association has announced that Josh Merrigan has been hired as the Head Legion Coach for the Sioux Falls Post 15 American Legion West baseball team.

Merrigan, a Vermillion native, is currently the assistant baseball coach at Muscatine Junior College in Muscatine, IA. Merrigan played collegiately at Oklahoma State University and Butler Community College with professional stints for the St. Louis Cardinals and most recently for the Sioux Falls Canaries in 2003 and 2004.
