Using Sourcing Manager means improved service to all vendors. They will now have a single source for information regarding bidding opportunities for the SDBOR educational institutions. Sourcing Manager will provide them with instant access to bids, proposals, solicitations, quotes and amendments, as well as email notification of new bids, proposals, quotes and amendments matching their commodity lines. They may register free of charge.
During the first few months they may continue to receive fax and email requests from some of the institutions. Eventually all campuses will move to the Sourcing Manager web-based format, replacing all other forms of solicitations.
Sourcing Manager is part of a complete Finance and Human Resources software implementation. This imple- mentation will continue through July 2007. In addition to sending prospective vendors purchase orders via email in the future, the Regents may need to communicate with them about their progress and new business processes and would like to do so electronically, if possible. In addition to registering with Sourcing Manager, vendors should go to http://www.sdbor.edu/vendor/ and provide updated contact information to ensure they receive regular updates about the new system.
Current vendors with one or more of the SDBOR educational institutions will need to register at: http://sciquest.ionwave.net/sdbor to receive solicitation bid information. SDBOR educational institutions reserve the right to mail or fax solicitation bids to those not registered in Sourcing Manager.
