USDSU will be home to two new programs based on action by the South Dakota Board of Regents during their regular meeting in Madison.
Northern State University will become the newest partner at USDSU when they offer the newly developed bachelor degree program in banking and financial services beginning in the fall 2006.A degree in banking and financial services will prepare students to assume management roles in banking insurance, and other financial institutions. NSU had previously offered a few classes at USDSU, but this is the first full program.
The University of South Dakota will deliver its new bachelor of business administration degree in marketing in Sioux Falls. This represents a change in the business curriculum from a specialization to a full major in marketing. In similar fashion, USD changed its specialization in finance to a major in finance. The major designation reflects the depth of expertise students gain in the program.
