Wakonda board meets Jan. 9

The regular Wakonda School Board meeting will be held on Monday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m. in the Family and Consumer Sciences Room. After approving the agenda, minutes of the December regular meeting, the financial reports and the bills, the following agenda items will be discussed:

1. Upcoming meetings and special school events,

2. Administrative reports,

3. SDCE, Alliance, legislative, and insurance reports,

4. Approve bus fuel quote,

5. Review calendar and four-day week for 2006-07,

6. Shop/Band building needs,

7. Writing assessment scores,

8. Facilities assessment from ASBSD and reorganization plan between Wakonda and Irene School Districts,

9. Sharing of positions for 2006-07 with Irene,

10. Approve a home school request,

11. Basketball conflict with the February board meeting,

12. Other miscellaneous items may be added to the agenda.

The public is invited to attend all school board meetings.
