After the cake decorating, the meeting was called toorder by Ellen Hanson, president. Sarah Droegemeier led the Pledge of Allegiance and Marley Hanson led the 4-H pledge. Everyone introduced themselves. The roll call topic was, "What is your favorite holiday?"
Marley Hanson read the secretary's report. No treasurer's report was given.

Old Business: Numerous thank yous were given. Sarah and Kris Rosacker and Emily and Connie Holoch were thanked for bringing bars and helping in the kitchen at the Recognition Event. Ashley and Carol Sorensen, Pam, Ellen and Marley Hanson and Cyndi Dendinger were thanked for helping in the kitchen at the4-H Recognition Event.
Thank yous were given to everyone in the club for helping decorate the Christmas tree at the W.H. Over museum for their festival in December, for putting the fleece blanket together that was given to the New Year's baby at Sioux Valley Hospital in Vermillion, to those club members who rang bells for the Salvation Army in December, the beautifully done Smile Maker cards for the Senior Citizens � Meals on Wheels people and for the Christmas presents brought for individuals at SESDAC.
New Business: 4-H member Participation Certificates were handed out. Some discussion took place on 4-HT-shirts for our club. Pam Hanson will look into getting more information on the club challenge, prices, etc. and will give an update at the February club meeting.
Sarah Rosacker volunteered to bring the dessert in February for the winner of the Saint Agnes Classic auction item of dessert each month for one year. Ashley Sorensen volunteered to bring the dessert in March.
Blank cards were handed out for club members to make smilemakers cards for the months of March and April for the Meals on Wheels people. They are to bring them back to the February meeting designed.
Pictures were taken with club members holding school supplies that they brought for their Community Service project in January.
