Two $500 grants will be awarded for the 2006-07 school year to a member or the children of members of Clay Rural Water. The program is intended to recognize the achievements of area youth and assist them in bettering themselves by obtaining a higher education. This is the 14th year of the program.
The grants will be available to a student who is enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited, two-year or four-year college, university or vocational/technical school.
The recipients will be pre-qualified based on a combination of academics, extra-curricular and community service criteria. Two winners will be randomly drawn from the qualified group.
Applications can be obtained from high school guidance counselors or by contacting Clay Rural Water at (605) 267-2088.
Applications can be submitted from March 10 to April 10. Winners will be announced in late April.
