Gebhart, Pribyl, Tolsma highlight track performance
Stephanie Gebhart won the women's 400-meter dash and Sam Pribyl finished second in the men's pole vault to highlight a strong performance Jan. 28 by the South Dakota track and field squads at the Iowa State Invitational in Ames, IA.

Gebhart, a junior from Elkton, won the 400-meter dash in 55.81. Freshman Allie Smith of Wahpeton, ND, was ninth (58.71) in the race. Gebhart also was 10th (25.61) in the 200-meter dash.

Pribyl, a senior from Webster, finished second in the pole vault by going 16'06.75, which is a season-best.

Dan Tolsma, a senior from Vermillion, recorded a personal-best in the weight throw as he finished fourth with a toss of 57'08.25.

Gebhart also anchored the 4×400-meter relay to a second-place finish. Other members of the team included Kiki Smith and Allie Smith of Wahpeton, ND, and Kassy Laber of Parkston.
