Into the Woods

Into the Woods

An ambivalent Cinderella? A blood-thirsty Little Red Ridinghood? A Prince Charming with a roving eye? A Witch ? who raps? They're all among the cockeyed characters as Vermillion Community Theatre presents James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's fractured fairy tale, Into the Woods. This is more than a kid's show with intricate lyrics and dazzling music. What begins a lively irreverent fantasy becomes a moving lesson about community responsibility and the stories we tell our children.

Performances are Friday, Feb.17 through Monday, Feb. 20 at the Vermillion High School Theatre. Friday, Saturday and Monday performances will be at 7:30 p.m. The Sunday performance will be at 2:30 p.m.

Friday and Saturday night will offer dinner before the show at 6 p.m. Dinner and show tickets are sold separately. Dinner tickets are $15 and must be purchased by Feb. 15. Show tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for K-12 with no charge for children under 5.

Tickets are available at Nook 'n Cranny and Davis Pharmacy. Show tickets will also be available at the door. For additional information, check the Web site at www.vermillioncommunitytheatre.org
