To the editor:
Sunday, Feb. 19 came in the middle of a holiday weekend. Everything should have been quiet at Vermillion High School but the place was packed. The two gyms were being utilized by a youth wrestling tournament while the great performing arts theatre was hosting the Vermillion Community Theatre production of Into the Woods.

Parking was a bit tight, but for those of us that worked in the late '90s on the bond issue for the gym and theater additions, this vibrant mix of sports and arts fulfilled the dream. This facility is a testament to the vision of this community.
The Vermillion School Board should be applauded for continuing to make these wonderful assets available to the community. It would be very tempting to hold them close to "protect" them. Bravo!
