The Edwards Construction bowling team set a new South Dakota state record for a five-man team, three-team game series on Feb. 9 at The Prairie Lanes in Vermillion.
The team games bowled were 1,265, 1,224 and 1,151, for a state record 3,640, which averages out to about 243 per man per game.
Contributing to the new state record were Kevin Annis (813), Tom Woodworth (661), Keith Joy (709), Michael Kruse (783) and Mike Kruse (674). Edwards Construction had also held the previous state record.
The 1,265 game and 3,640 series are also records at The Prairie Lanes. Annis will receive a national award for his 813, his first 800 series, and the second high series of all time at The Prairie Lanes.
