On honors list

Molly O'Connor, Vermillion, attained honors recognition at the University of San Diego.

With a grade point above 3.50 on a 4.00 scale, O'Connor, a full-time USD student demonstrated outstanding academic performance. She has chosen a major concentration of studies in English and communications.

The University of San Diego is a Catholic institution of higher learning chartered in 1949. The school enrolls more than 7,000 students and is known for its commitment to teaching, the liberal arts, the formation of values and community service.

USD offers more than 60 bachelor's master's and doctoral degrees.
