Pianist to perform Feb. 26 at USD

The University of South Dakota will host Lori Sims in Recital at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26, in Colton Recital Hall.

Sims, an internationally known pianist, has performed throughout North America, Europe, and China.

Simm's Vermillion concert will feature the powerful Sonata in B Minor by Liszt, the Chaconne of leading Russian composer Sofia Gubaidu- lina, and works by J. S. Bach and others. On Saturday, Feb. 25, Simms will serve as adjudicator for the 12th annual Genevieve Truran Piano Competition for grades 8-12, also held at USD.
