Based on evidence gathered during an investigation, the Vermillion Police Department obtained a search warrant Jan. 29 for the residence located at 204 N. University Street. As a result of the search warrant and investigation 117 individuals were charged with underage consumption.
The three renters of the residence, who were hosting the party, were each charged with maintaining a common nuisance, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and disorderly house. The renters were identified as Desmond Allison, 25, Jevon Bowman, 21 and Jaware Griffin, 30.
Officers from The University of South Dakota Public Safety, Clay County Sheriff's Department and South Dakota Highway Patrol assisted the Vermillion Police Department with the investigation.
