Wagner had a season-high performance for them, as they were able to score a 105.7.
The Tanagers, still ranked third in Class A, hit a season-high mark with their final score.
"We had just great performances from everyone in every event," said coach Mark Upward. "I can't say enough about this group of young ladies. They work hard, they believe in themselves, and above all, they are a great group of young ladies."
Leading the way for the Tanagers was Ariel Hofman. She bested the field in each event by winning the beam (9.5), the uneven parallel bars (9.35), the floor exercise (9.3), the vault (8.95), and the all-around competition with a season-best 36.1.
Tristen Upward had an excellent beam routine as she finished second to Hofman with a score of 8.95. Amy Mart and DeNell Dykstra rounded out the beam event score with a 7.6 and 7.15 respectively.
The vault saw Hofman in first (8.35), Elly Melby second (7.95), Amber Walker third (7.9), Wagner's Samantha Dvorak (7.8), and Kimberly Kokesh (7.8), tied for fourth place in the vault.
The floor exercise saw extremely good routines get rewarded with extremely good scores. Hofman's 9.5 was followed by Tia Krier (8.6), Upward's 8.55, and Raychel Lorenz's 8.0.
The final event was just as successful for the Tanagers as they took four of the top five places on the bars. Emily Renner had a 7.8 which placed her third. She was followed by Lorenz in fourth (7.6) and Calle Sorensen in fifth with a 7.25.
In the all-around competition, Hofman's 36.1 led the field as Wagner's Samantha Dvorak finished second with a 33.05. The rest of the all-around places went to Lorenz (29.5), Wagner's Jessica Koupal (24.55), and Wagner's Kimberly Kokesh (23.0).
"We are definitely peaking at the right time," Upward said. "We only have two weeks of the season left and we have to continue the hard work."
In the junior varsity competition, the Tanagers finished the year strong with an 82.5 win over Wagner (27.95). Wagner was unable to field a complete team, as they didn't have any competitors in the uneven bars and vault.
The Tanagers were led by Tristen Upward as she won the unevens with a 4.4 and the vault with a 7.7. Emily Renner had a very good beam performance to win the JV competition with a 7.05. Amber Walker won the JV floor exercise with a 6.25 score. Sidney Mount was the winner in the all-around competition with a score of 21.05.
