People enjoy Mardi Gras magic

The 16th Annual Mardi Gras Ball was staged Feb. 25 at the St. Agnes School Auditorium, sponsored by the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

Dennis and Beth Johnson gave their reigns to the new 2006 King Glen Danielson and Queen Rosalie Hubert.

Kenny Carlow, Bloomfield, NE, entertained with favorite Mardi Gras music. Members from the Vermillion community, Sioux Falls, Sioux City, IA and Milford, IA were in attendance.

Several past kings and queens were introduced.

Plenty of colorful beads, balloons and glow bracelets were the decor of the evening. Marlene Hauger won the night at Holiday Inn Express, rosalie Hubert was the recipient of the 1989 centennial print donated by Book and Supply.

Linda Sorensen and her committee served a bountiful lunch. Everyone enjoyed "The Magic of Mardi Gras."
