George sang with Poker Alice in the late 1980s before heading to Nashville and was reunited with the band two years ago for a concert at Gayville Hall that was recorded for a CD, as yet unreleased.
Nick Schwebach, of rural Wakonda, who sings and plays lead guitar, co-founded Poker Alice about 20 years ago. Fiddler Owen DeJong of rural Wakonda joined the band after returning from Nashville, where he had performed several years with The Travelin' Band.

Bassist and singer Larry Rohrer joined the band in 1989 after moving to the Vermillion area to be program director at South Dakota Public Radio. The other band members are Dennis Jensen of rural Beresford on guitar, vocals and keyboards, and Al Remund of Lennox on drums.
