According to City Finance Officer Mike Carlson, Judy Clark, who began circulating nominating petitions March 21 in the Southeast Ward, filed the documents to become a city council candidate March 29.
Her name will be on the ballot as a challenger to incumbent Alderman Ray Hofman. Hofman began circulating petitions March 1, and filed them with Carlson's office March 6.

It appears that all city council incumbents up for election plan to seek another term. Mayor Dan Christopherson filed petitions with Carlson on March 2. Central Ward Alderman Mary Edelen and Northwest Ward Alderman Jack Powell also have filed petitions at city hall.
As of March 1, Northeast Ward Alderman Kent Osborne had begun circulating petitions, but as of March 30, had not yet filed them.
The deadline for filing petitions is 5 p.m. April 4. The city election will be held June 6.
