To help children stay on a healthy path, Sioux Valley Vermillion Medical Center has partnered with the USD School of Nursing, the USD Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Departments, USD Campus Re- creation and the Vermillion School District to host a Health Education Day for all Vermillion Middle School students.

The event will take place on Friday, March 24 at the National Guard Armory in Vermillion from 8:45 a.m. until 2:15 p.m.

All sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students will rotate through nine health information booths in consecutive 90-minute sessions.

The sessions will include vital signs, a vision screen, emergency information, hand washing tips, nutrition, fitness information, stress management, back pack advice, and information on healthy friendships and dating.
