Tennis team takes 9-0 win; improves to 5-4
The South Dakota women's tennis team improved to 5-4 on the season with a 9-0 decision over University of Texas-Dallas March 7 in San Antonio, TX.

The Coyotes won all six of its singles matches and the three doubles matches over the University of Texas-Dallas, which was the 25th-ranked team (Division III) in the Western Region.

With the win, the Coyotes went over the .500 mark for the first time this season. In addition, all of USD's singles players have plus .500 marks, led by USD's Michelle Hogan at No. 4 singles, who improved to a team-best 8-1 on the season. The records for the USD singles performers include: Amanda Barton, No. 1, 6-3; Ashley Waltman, No. 2, 5-4; Kelli Galbraith, No. 3, 5-4; Michelle Hogan, No. 4, 8-1; Rachel Kludt, No. 5, 6-3; and Suzy Puetz, No. 6, 7-2.


Two of USD's three doubles teams have winning records, including No. 3 doubles Hogan/Galbraith, 7-2; No. 2 doubles of Barton and Kludt, 6-3 while the No. 1 doubles team of Waltman and Puetz is 4-5.

The USD tennis squad has now won five of its last six matches this season.
