Gayville Hall presents North Dakota singer-songwriter Chuck Suchy in concert at 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, at 502 Washington Street in Gayville. John and Susan McNeill will open the show.
Suchy is a working farmer, born and raised in the hills along the Missouri River south of Mandan, who has been singing and playing guitar and accordion since his youth. He began writing his own ballads more than two decades ago, providing a unique portrayal of contemporary American farm life from an insider's point of view.
Suchy released his first recordings on the Flying Fish label of Chicago in the 1980s and has played major concert halls and festivals across the U.S. and Canada, most recently appearing with Garrison Keillor on National Public Radio's "Prairie Home Companion." It will be his third appearance at Gayville Hall.
Tickets are $10 at the door or $12.50 for a reserved seat. Call 605-267-2859.
