The USD Theatre Department ends its 2005-2006 season with the award-winning drama The Diviners Friday and Saturday, April 28 and 29 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 30 at 2 p.m. in the Wayne S. Knutson Theatre. For tickets call 677-5400.

USD's Concert Band presents its free spring concert on Friday, April 28 at 7:30 p.m. in Slagle Auditorium. The USD Symphonic Band and Brass Choir will be giving a free concert on Sunday, April 30 at 3 p.m. in Slagle Auditorium.

The third annual USD College of Fine Arts Spring Festival is Saturday, April 29, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the west lawn of the fine Arts Center. It features a student art sale, various musical groups performing throughout the day and the presentation of the first Biennial Wayne S. Knutson Distinguished Professor award at noon.


Nell Holland will give her Senior Flute Recital on Sunday, April 30 at 7 p.m. in Colton Recital Hall.

The Vermillion Area Arts Council will hold a board meeting on Monday, May 1 at 7 p.m. at the Washington Street Arts Center.

The USD Symphony Orchestra and Chamber and Concert Choirs unite to present a free All Mozart Concert on Monday, May 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Slagle Auditorium. The USD Truran Piano Scholars will give a free recital on Tuesday, May 2 at 8p.m. in Colton Recital Hall.

The Vermillion Farmer's Market and the Vermillion Area Arts Council present the Midweek Food & Arts Festival every Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m., May 3 through Oct. 25 at the Washington Street Arts Center.

The National Music Museum continues its Brown Bag Lunch free concert series Friday, May 5 at noon with American Songs and Stories, featuring Sparky and Rhonda Rucker, banjo, guitar, harmonica and vocals.

A Cinco de Mayo celebration will take place at the Washington Street Arts Center on Friday, May 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. featuring food, pi�atas and more.

USD music students Joel Shotwell and David Williams present a Junior Saxophone Recital on Saturday, May 6 at 3 p.m. in Colton Recital Hall. Erin Lillie presents her Graduate Voice Recital also in Colton Recital Hall on Saturday, May 6 at 7 p.m.

A BFA Graduation Exhibition, featuring works by Lindsey Clark, Kimberly Grunewald and Robyn Tomac, will be on display Monday, May 8 through Friday, May 13 in the Main Gallery of the Center for Fine Arts.

Works by Tyler Ferrier and Andrew Kosten will be on display at the Washington Street Arts Center Friday, May 12, with a reception from 7 to 9 p.m.

Doc Farber will be signing copies of his autobiography Footprints on the Prairie on Sunday, May 21 at 3:30 p.m. in the W.H. Over Museum.
