Brian Forney presents his Senior Trombone Recital on Friday, April 21 at 8 p.m. in Colton Recital Hall. Zarah Mattox presents her Senior Horn Recital on Saturday, April 22 at 7 p.m. in Farber Hall, and Merritt Kuhn presents her Graduate Voice and Music History Recital/Lecture on Sunday, April 23 at 2 p.m. in Colton Recital Hall.

Bachelor of Fine Arts art exhibitions are ongoing in the Main Gallery of the USD Fine Arts Center through May 3.

The USD Jazz Ensembles will be giving a free concert, featuring guest soloist Tim Ries � who's played saxophone with the Rolling Stones, Maynard Ferguson, Paul Simon, Sheryl Crow and more � on Tuesday April 25 at 7:30 p.m. in Colton Recital Hall.


The Vermillion All-School Art Show will be on display at the Washington Street Arts Center Wednesday, April 26 through Sunday, April 30 with a reception Thursday, April 27 from 4 to 6 p.m. The Arts Center will be open from 2 to 5 p.m. for the run of show.

Joseph Kupfer, professor of philosophy at Iowa State University, will present a free lecture titled "Unforgiven: Shooting Holes in Myths of the West" � a lecture on Clint Eastwood's film Unforgiven � Wednesday, April 26 at 7 p.m. in Farber Hall.

The USD Theatre Department ends its 2005-2006 season with the award-winning drama The Diviners Wednesday, April 26 through Saturday, April 29 at 8 p.m., and Sunday, April 30 at 2 p.m. in the Wayne S. Knutson Theatre. For tickets call 677-5400.

The Vermillion Literary Project (VLP) will unveil the 2006 VLP literary magazine with a free reception, reading and poetry slam on Thursday, April 27 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Coffee Shop Gallery.

USD percussion professor Darin Wadley will be giving a free recital on Thursday, April 27 at 8 p.m. in Colton Recital Hall.

USD's Concert Band presents its free spring concert on Friday, April 28 at 7:30 p.m. in Slagle Auditorium. The USD Symphonic Band and Brass Choir will be giving a free concert on Sunday, April 30 at 3 p.m. in Slagle Auditorium.

The National Music Museum continues its Brown Bag Lunch free concert series with the Kyai Rengga Manis Everist Gamelan played by the USD Gamelan Ensemble on Friday, April 28 at 12:05 p.m.

A live radio broadcast of A Prairie Home Companion, featuring Garrison Keillor, will take place at the DakotaDome on April 29 at 4:45 p.m. The program will be broadcast to more than 4 million listeners and will feature instruments from the National Music Museum played by local and national musicians. The USD Symphony Orchestra and Chamber and Concert Choirs unite to present a free All Mozart Concert on Monday, May 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Slagle Auditorium. The USD Truran Piano Scholars will be giving a free recital on Tuesday, May 2 at 8 p.m. in Colton Recital Hall.

A Cinco de Mayo celebration will take place at the Washington Street Arts Center the evening of Friday, May 5, featuring food, pi�atas and more.
